How long will the band play for?
Depending on the package chosen, we play for a minimum of three hours of music which is generally broken down into 4 x 45 minute live music sets. We will consult with you about the best times for us to play during your function, we understand each function is uniquely different and requires a personal touch.
Can we choose the songs?
Of course you can! If you have the time you can select every song, however, most people select a few which gives us an indication of the style you like and we just do our thing. We play loads of gigs so our lead singers have the skill of reading the crowd and deciding what style of song would best suit the moment.
Do you play traditional Horas for Jewish Weddings?
Are you meshuganeh? Of course we do! The Something Blue band is one of few wedding bands in Melbourne that can play all of your favourite Horas including Mazel Tov O Simon Tov, Hava Negilah and more!
Does the band require a table, food & drinks?
The band will be at your function for nearly seven hours in total after set up and packing down and we cannot leave at any point. We would appreciate a meal and drinks, however, as long as we have somewhere at the function room to hang out and eat we are happy! It does not necessarily have to be a table in the main function room.
Do you travel out of Melbourne?
We sure do! Although we are a wedding band based in Melbourne, our talented musicians are used to touring all around Australia. Something Blue has played all over Victoria including Mornington, Torquay, Yarra Valley and more. There may be a travel fee added if your function is out of Metro Melbourne.
